info on buffalo from other hunt:

They Never Forget
During the era of hunting for the ‘big five’ this animal killed more hunters in Africa than any other animal. When wounded, they become aggressive and angry. They would seek revenge on the hunter and even remember the encounter the following day (or following years according to some tales). If wounded they would circle around their enemy and counter-attack, instead of fleeing.

They Have Friends
The birds you see sitting on the hide of there animals are called oxpeckers. They have a symbiotic relationship and remove ticks/insects embedded in their skin.

What is the highest mountain in Germany? Work out the answer and make your way to this peak.

Did you know how tall this mountain is?
At 2,962m high this is over 200m taller than the next highest mountain in Germany. It was first climbed by a German team of land surveyors on 27 August 1820. The easiest path to the top today takes about 8-10 hours.

2.

  • From this peak follow the eastern ridge all the way down into a valley.
  • Follow the valley north leading out of the Bavarian alps.
  • Zoom into the valley as you move north and you will notice there are several different markers each with different icons and colours.
  • Solve this riddle:

I have one eye.

I see near and far.

I hold the moments you treasure and the things that make you weep.

I shoot but never kill.

What am I?

  • Look in the valley for the several markers of this word.
  • Click into street view mode and find the position shown below (it is next to one of these markers - you will need to adjust your height so the correct circles appear).
  • 3 of the blue circles have been assigned a country flag. Click into the circle which is identified by the only country that does not share a land border with Bavaria.

3.

  • This will bring you into a photo, check you are in the correct photo by looking for a person in a light blue jacket stood in a gorge to your east. If you can't see this exit the photo and repeat the previous step until you can.
  • The photo is of a thin gorge, below a screen shot of each end of the gorge has been cut up and muddled up
  • However 1 piece is missing so only 1 complete picture can be made.
  • Mentally put the pieces together, which end of the gorge is shown in the complete picture east or west? Tip - the complete picture has 4 pieces, the incomplete only has 3 - study the contents and piece shapes carefully.

  • Set your view to a height of 50km.
  • Scan in the direction of the answer from the previous step. To the corner border which looks like this:

  • Zoom in and explore this location, there is 1 mountain here which has ski areas on its western and northern side (identified by red and blue lines to show the area).
  • Zoom in on the very top of this mountain.
  • Follow the ridge line north and then north west towards a grey castle marker.
  • Stop at the castle marker.
  • What is the name of this place? Ignore the 'Das' we are only looking for the second word - use this as the password to access the final clue!
